Sweet Balsam (Mang-lag)
The Sweet Balsam leaves are light green in colour with a slight limed odour. The size of the leaves is more or less the same as those of the Basils. Only the leaves are used in adding to a few kinds of soup e.g. Spicy Mixed Vegetable Soup - Gaeng Liang. They can be eaten raw as condiment with many dishes e.g. Springrolls - Porpia Taud, Charcoal Beef -Nuea Yang, Noodles in Fish Curry Sauce - Kanom Jeen Nam Yaa
