Garlic (Gratiem) |
. Garlics have white underground bulbs with several white or pale yellow gloves. Garlics in Thailand is smaller than those found in Europe but have a stronger odour. Galic is the foremost ingredient in thai cooking. They can either be eaten raw or fried. Raw garlics are normally added to salads e.g. Beef salad - Yam Neua, Papaya salad - Somtam, to many kinds of sauces e.g. Garlic-chilli-sauce - Nampla prik, and curry pastes. Fried garlics are used for garnishing e.g. in soups, Fried Fish. |
