Balsam (Ga-phrao)
The Balsam leaves are greenish-purple in colour. They are narrower than the basil leaves but have a stronger and prudenter odour. The leaves and the clusters are used in adding to the dishes e.g. Spicy Chicken with Balsam - Gai Pad Bai Gaphrao
